Firefly Warrior Queen, Little is known about what fireflies eat, in part because they consume very little food. There is evidence that the female occassionally eats the male. This hanging paper-mâché sculpture depicts a fearsome firefly fresh from battle and features a glow-in-the-dark abdomen and "blood" splatter. Wire, acrylic paint, rice paper and composite gold leaf were used in her construction. She measures 19" l x 10" w x 17" h and was completed in late 2015.
